So Cal Mini Horse Sanctuary is excited to announce an intensive miniature therapy horse seminar taught by the marvelous Lisa Moad of Seven Oaks Farm.
The seminar will start the evening of Friday, February 23rd and continue thru Sunday afternoon. This course will combine two seminars, “Miniature Therapy Horses Level 1” and “Miniature Therapy Horses Level 2”.
Miniature Therapy Horses Level 1 is designed to help you walk thru the process of setting up your own program and helping you to make it successful. Lisa will focus on all the frequently asked questions like, how do I insure my horse, is my horse suited for therapy work, should I become a 501C3, how do I register and train my horse and what products should I use.
Miniature Therapy Horses Level 2 portion of the course will be packed full of demonstrations on various training and handling techniques specifically designed for use with therapy horses. Each participant will receive a study guide with all our materials for you to review and use later.
Jeanne Candelario of So Cal Mini Horse Sanctuary will also speak about her work with rescuing miniature horses. The weekend should be information packed and you will be able to share your experiences with others who have a desire to do therapy work.
There are only
20 seats 5 seats available for this seminar which we believe will fill quickly. The cost of this informative multi-day course is $350 which includes lunch both Saturday and Sunday. A portion of your seminar fee will be donated to So Cal Miniature Horse Sanctuary.
